Novena to JPII- Day 1

There is a novena to John Paul II that I have prayed the last two years and I would like to get more and more people praying for his intercession and canonization. The novena ends on the anniversary of his death, April 2, which would presumably be his feast day. As such, the novena begins on March 25. I realize that it is actually 1am on the 26th right now, but I figured I could still post day 1's prayers. Hope you enjoy!

March 25: Loyal Son of Mary
Be not afraid! With these words, the angel
Gabriel reassured Mary – troubled by his greeting. Be not afraid! With these
words, Holy Father, you reassured your flock – troubled by world events and a
culture of doubt and despair. You lived your life under the protection of Mary
most holy, having as your motto Totus tuus. You encouraged devotion to Mary –
our Mother and Queen – and you emulated her trust in Divine Providence,
expressing your fiat in the face of peril and suffering. Pray for us, Holy
Father that we may always live within the mantle of Mary’s protection. Help us
to trust that nothing will be impossible for God. Pray that we too will speak
our fiat, so that we may be God’s instruments on Earth, and that we, like Mary
and like you, may find favor with God.

John Paul, Loyal son of
Mary, I have confidence in your intercession. I ask you to pray to God for

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be
John Paul, Loyal son of
Mary, pray for us!

It is, the one that we began using two years ago for your recovery.

Well, thank you very much for your prayers - it now looks like I'm going to make it. Thanks also for your devotion to JPII!
